BitMEX has introduced the XBTF25 Bitcoin futures contract, now available for trading. This new contract, underlined and margined in Bitcoin, went live on November 26, 2024.

BitMEX, a leading cryptocurrency exchange, has announced the launch of its new Bitcoin (BTC) futures contract, XBTF25. This contract became available for trading on November 26, 2024, at 04:00 UTC, according to BitMEX. The XBTF25 contract is underlined and margined in Bitcoin, providing traders with an opportunity to engage in futures trading with a well-established cryptocurrency.

Details of the XBTF25 Contract

The XBTF25 futures contract is part of BitMEX’s lineup of Bitcoin futures products, which are settled in Bitcoin. The contract commenced trading on the BitMEX platform, offering a new avenue for traders to speculate on the future price movements of Bitcoin against the US dollar (USD). The settlement date for XBTF25 is set for January 31, 2025.

Current Futures Contracts on BitMEX

Alongside the newly launched XBTF25 contract, BitMEX continues to offer a range of other Bitcoin futures contracts. These include XBTX24, XBTZ24, XBTH25, XBTM25, and XBTU25, each with distinct listing and settlement dates. For instance, XBTX24 was listed on September 24, 2024, and is scheduled to settle on November 29, 2024, while XBTZ24, listed on March 12, 2024, will settle on December 27, 2024.

The introduction of XBTF25 adds to the diverse trading options available on BitMEX, catering to both short-term and long-term traders interested in Bitcoin futures.
