Kreypt Music: When your name becomes music and NFT

Kreypt Music: When your name becomes music and NFT

Kreypt Music, an innovative project born from the imagination of the conductor and composer Samuel Sené, represents a unique meeting point between music, digital art, and Web3.

Officially launched in Paris on November 19, 2024, Kreypt Music offers anyone the opportunity to own a personalized melody, transforming a simple name into an authentic and certified musical work of art thanks to the blockchain.

In reality, we at The Cryptonomist met them much earlier, in Montpellier, in May 2024 during the event called Rubichain and it was right there that Kreypt gave us the opportunity to test the functionality of the platform, creating a piece of music for the name of our newspaper.

Here the video:

A name, a melody: musical personalization as a signature

The heart of Kreypt Music lies in the ability to transform proper names or company names into unique musical compositions.

Following the tradition of Western musical notation, each letter of the alphabet is associated with a note (for example, A corresponds to La, B to Si, C to Do, etc.). This system allows for the creation of personalized melodies based on the name of the client’s company or a person.

The compositions, entirely handcrafted by Samuel Sené without the use of artificial intelligence, ensure a rare authenticity in today’s musical landscape. Each melody is limited to the number of letters in the name: for example, a name like “Laura” will have only five editions available.

This element of exclusivity makes each melody not only a work of art, but also a valuable collectible item.

NFT and blockchain: secure and certified digital ownership

The personalized melodies are then transformed into NFT (non-fungible tokens), secure and permanent digital instruments on the blockchain. In addition to the audio file of the melody, the buyer receives:

  • The musical score in PDF and JPG format.
  • An animated video that illustrates the score.
  • A digital certificate that guarantees the exclusive ownership of the work.

This combination of art and technology offers users the possibility to collect, resell, or gift their own musical creations, making the ownership of a work of art accessible to a wide audience not necessarily expert in blockchain technology.

In fact, we at The Cryptonomist have also received the musical score:

Art 3.0: the fusion between music and Web3

Kreypt Music is not just a musical project, but a true revolution in the way of conceiving art in the digital age. Samuel Sené combines his musical experience and mathematical expertise to create a bridge between the artistic world and the technological one, leveraging the potential of Web3 to anchor musical works in a secure and transparent digital ecosystem.

With an affordable cost of 49 euros per melody, Kreypt Music represents a unique and personal gift, perfect for those looking for something original and meaningful. Furthermore, if the desired melody is not already available, it is composed from scratch in just 15 days, ensuring a personalized and authentic experience.

Kreypt Music: A project awarded and recognized

Kreypt Music has already received significant recognition, including the prestigious Prix MaMA Invent RIFFX 2023, awarded during the MaMA Music & Convention festival in Paris. This award highlights the innovative and visionary nature of the project, positioning it as one of the most interesting initiatives in the contemporary music scene.
