Semler Scientific, a healthcare tech firm, has purchased an additional 211 Bitcoin for $21.5 million to reach a total of 2,084 Bitcoin.
The latest acquisition, made between December 5th and December 15th, was funded through operating cash flow and proceeds from an at-the-market (ATM) stock offering.
Semler paid an average price of $101,890 per Bitcoin for its recent purchases, higher than its cumulative average cost of $80,916 per Bitcoin.
The company has also expanded its ATM offering, increasing its capacity to raise funds through share sales by $50 million, for a total of $150 million.
So far, it has generated $100 million in gross proceeds from the program, a significant portion of which has been directed toward Bitcoin purchases.
Semler is using a metric called Bitcoin Yield (BTC Yield) to measure the success of its strategy, which compares the growth of its Bitcoin holdings to the capital raised.
The company reported a cumulative BTC Yield of 92.8% since adopting the strategy earlier this year.
