Crypto prices have resumed their bull trend on Monday after the sharp sell-off on Friday and the ensuing weakness over the weekend.
US President Donald Trump’s volatile tariff policy is at the forefront once again. Following a phone call with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, Trump extended his tariff deadline on the EU to July 9th.
Trump and von der Leyen struck a cordial tone in their social media posts, offering much-needed relief to financial markets as investors now anticipate a trade deal that could significantly ease Trump’s proposed 50% tariffs.
US equity futures are green on Monday, while the Bitcoin price has reclaimed the key $110,000 price mark.
Crypto Price Pump as Trump Pauses EU Tariffs
Owing to its high market capitalization and mature market, Bitcoin continues to closely track broader financial markets and macroeconomic trends.
As a result, Trump’s unexpected announcement of 50% tariffs on the European Union spoiled last week’s crypto bull run, resulting in a sharp sell-off on Friday.
