Binance Coin (BNB) has clocked eight years since its launch as a cryptocurrency. In a post to mark the eighth anniversary of BNB, Changpeng “CZ” Zhao, former Binance CEO, highlighted how the price has gained value by over 10,000 times within the period.
BNB: $100 investment now worth over $1 million
Notably, in July 2017, when Binance Coin launched and started trading, its price was just $0.06 per token. As a new crypto project, the entry price to the market was low. However, over the years, with consistent building, BNB has recorded astronomical growth.
CZ noted that eight years later, Binance Coin was trading close to approximately $700. This shows a massive increase in value from its initial listing price.
The post highlights an important factor in crypto investments. Within eight years, the project has soared by over 10,000 times. That is, if someone had purchased $100 worth of Binance Coin in 2017 during its initial listing and left it since then, they would be swimming in profit.
That $100 investment would translate to over $1 million at the current market price of BNB. As of press time, Binance Coin was exchanging at $704.27, which represents a 2.01% increase in the last 24 hours. It peaked at $706 in earlier trading sessions.
The trading volume is also up in the green zone by a significant 30.61% at $2.13 billion — a clear indication that investors are actively transacting the asset.
Can Binance Coin hit $1,000?
With the crypto asset experiencing massive growth from just a few cents to over $700, investors are now targeting a $1,000 ATH.

This expectation remains realistic given the growth trajectory of Binance Coin. Interestingly, six years after launch, as of November 2023, BNB traded at less than $250 per coin. However, less than six months later, in April 2024, the crypto asset was exchanging at $580.
If the coin experiences the same sort of growth, then BNB could easily flip to $1,000 by early 2026. This is particularly so given the growing adoption of crypto assets and their popularity in the global space, with the possibility of other use cases.
