LangChain introduces LangGraph Platform, offering various deployment options for scalable agent infrastructure, including self-hosted and cloud solutions, to meet diverse developer needs.

LangChain has announced the rebranding and expansion of its infrastructure service, now called the LangGraph Platform, which is designed for deploying and scaling LangGraph applications. This move introduces multiple deployment options, enhancing the original LangGraph Cloud launched earlier this year, according to LangChain’s official blog.

New Deployment Options

The LangGraph Platform now offers four distinct deployment options:

  • Self-Hosted Lite: A free, limited version allowing local or self-hosted execution of up to 1 million nodes.
  • Cloud SaaS: A fully managed service that is currently in beta and available to LangSmith Plus or Enterprise plan users.
  • Bring Your Own Cloud (BYOC): Allows deployment in a user’s VPC with LangChain managing provisioning and maintenance, currently available for AWS.
  • Self-Hosted Enterprise: Allows full deployment on a user’s own infrastructure.

Components of LangGraph Platform

The platform integrates key components such as LangGraph Server and LangGraph Studio, alongside a CLI and SDK. These provide a comprehensive infrastructure solution for developers deploying agents at scale. LangGraph Server is optimized for handling large workloads with features like task queues, long-running agent support, and data persistence.

Developer Experience Enhancements

LangGraph Studio has been released in a desktop version, allowing developers to debug locally. The platform’s APIs enable interactive, context-aware agent experiences with features like streaming runs for real-time outputs, background runs for batch processing, and concurrency control.

Future Developments

LangChain plans to introduce more features, including advanced authentication and intelligent caching, to further enhance the platform. This investment aims to simplify the complex infrastructure needed to support sophisticated agent applications.

Getting Started

Developers interested in exploring the LangGraph Platform can start with the Self-Hosted Lite version or opt for the Cloud SaaS version for broader accessibility. For deployments requiring heightened security, the BYOC or Self-Hosted Enterprise options are available.
