AQUA has unveiled a brand refresh, introducing a new logo, updated domain, redesigned website, and an upgraded app (v0.2.5).
The revamped logo separates the droplet icon from the text to clarify the brand name as “AQUA,” and introduces two new colors, AQUA Sky Blue and Dark Blue, aligning with its water-inspired theme.
The shift to the new domain, aqua.net, replaces the previous site (aquawallet.io) and sets the stage for new features like Lightning Address support, enabling users to receive Bitcoin at addresses like [email protected].
The app update has watch-only wallets, USDt integration for transaction fees, Taproot swaps for instant Lightning refunds, and Replace-by-Fee (RBF) to expedite unconfirmed Bitcoin transactions.
Looking forward, the “Delta” release promises further improvements, such as expanded USDt swaps with reduced fees, LNURL Withdraw support, push notifications, and additional fiat options.
Planned features also include sub-accounts, Lightning Addresses, and support for BOLT12 payments. To circumvent potential issues with App Store policies, AQUA will be made available on F-Droid, ensuring ongoing access for users.
Since its launch on January 3rd, AQUA has seen strong user adoption. The team remains focused on integrating more features, enhancing the user experience, and expanding onboarding in targeted regions to increase accessibility.
