New projects are in the pipeline to enter the cryptocurrency space, with Token Generation Events (TGE) being key moments for any emerging blockchain venture.
During a TGE, a cryptocurrency project creates and distributes its tokens to investors, users, or the public. It marks a major step in launching a new token, often happening after the project has raised funds and developed its product.
TGEs to Watch This Week
Following a TGE, the tokens are effectively available for trading or use within the project’s ecosystem. A successful TGE can bring more attention and liquidity to a crypto project, setting the pace for the project’s growth.
For investors, however, this is a chance to get tokens early. In many instances, these tokens are available at lower prices, with the hope that their value will rise as the project develops. On this account, the following are the projects with TGE this week.
Bitfinity (BTF)
Bitfinity is a Bitcoin Layer-2 scaling network built on the Internet Computer Protocol (ICP) with an Ethereum virtual machine (EVM). After engaging in private fundraising that raised $7 million, the project advertises a public token offering through a launch pool. During the last fundraising round, the project raised $130 million with backing from Polychain Capital and ParaFi Capital, among others.
“The numbers show that Bitfinity has the potential to transform Bitcoin’s L2 landscape,” said Lunar Strategy.
It plans the token generation event (TGE), a mainnet launch that will take place on November 19 at 10 AM. This event is also a celebration of surpassing 32 million transactions on its testnet. This achievement is the result of the relentless dedication of developers who have been actively building on the platform. Bitfinity’s BTF token will be listed on the Gate.io exchange.
Zyfi (ZFI)
Zyfi is a paymaster-as-a-service designed for easy integration. With a fundraiser of up to $2 million after a valuation of $20 million in the previous round, the project also plans a TGE on November 19, with the exact time and exchange to be announced. The project teamed up with PancakeSwap for the ZFI token launch.
“We’re thrilled to team up with PancakeSwap, our long-time paymaster partner, to provide liquidity for the ZFI token,” Zyfi shared.
Per the post, the expected benefits from this collaboration range from ZFI-ETH yield farm with CAKE incentives to two Syrup Pools for CAKE and ZFI stakers with up to $30,000 in rewards. The partnership will also make it easy to access ZFI tokens on the decentralized exchange.
MicroGPT (MICRO)
This is an AI platform that empowers developers with AI-driven tools and is dedicated to improving development efficiency. As an advanced AI platform, MicroGPT is designed to streamline and democratize software development for developers of all levels.
It remains unclear how much the project has raised, but a TGE is planned for November 20 at 7 PM, and the MICRO token will be listed on Gate.io and MEXC exchanges. The valuation of the last round was $3.5 million.
“Get ready to fuel the future of coding with MicroGPT’s powerful suite of tools: Real-time coding suggestions IDE integration for seamless workflows, Mobile app, Chrome extension, and more,” MicroGPT shared.
Ponder (PNDR)
Ponder is an AI-powered comparison engine for all web3 trends. It builds a solution providing a fully integrated comparison tool for crypto-based operations, powered by AI and EigenLayer.
The project raised $1.1 million in private fundraising after being valued at $10 million in the previous round. The listing exchange is KuCoin, and its TGE will happen on November 20 with a $0.10 token price.
However, before its TGE, the project will hold a non-refundable token sale on November 19 at 08:00 UTC. Claiming will be open beginning November 20.
“Key benefits: Pioneering re-staking on EigenLayer, Tier 1 funds onboarded, Analyzes and executes trading options according to your preferences. Runs Community Engagement Initiatives Tier 1 funds onboarded,” Ponder detailed.
MemeFi (MEMEFI)
This is a web3 game that combines PvP and PvE gameplay. The private fundraising collection remains unknown, but the project achieved a valuation of $125 million during the previous round. Listing exchanges include OKX, Bitget, Bybit, and Gate.io, with the TGE slated for November 22 at 1 PM.
“MEMEFI/USDT Spot trading begins at 1:00 PM on November 22 (UTC),” OKX announced.
Meanwhile, deposits and withdrawals will be available via the Sui (SUI) network for MEMEFI’s listing on Bybit.
While these projects’ TGEs offer good entry points and introduce liquidity to the market, investors must conduct their own research. As BeInCrypto reported, critical considerations when evaluating a TGE range from the project’s tokenomics to its compliance and regulatory position. Other factors to consider include the blockchain atop which it runs and the timing and market conditions during the TGE.
