Bitget introduces the Web3 encyclopedia for young students in schools

Bitget, a Web3 company and one of the leading cryptocurrency exchanges, has announced the publication of the Web3 encyclopedia for young students, marking a significant milestone in its global educational initiative #Blockchain4Youth. The print edition will be distributed to schools, libraries, and community centers to promote blockchain literacy among young students, while the digital version will be available through CoinGecko, the leading independent crypto data aggregator.

Structured as a guide from A to Z, the encyclopedia introduces young readers to the world of blockchain through easily understandable terms, such as “A is for Altcoin” and “Z is for Zero-Knowledge Proofs.” Each letter offers clear definitions and fun illustrations that make complex concepts accessible through simple and beginner-friendly explanations. It is a fun and accessible way to spark curiosity about digital finance and help young minds understand the basics of Web3 from an early age.

“For me, education remains the most effective entry point to the future of blockchain,” stated Gracy Chen, CEO of Bitget. “The encyclopedia was designed to bridge the knowledge gap, reaching young students with clear language and relevant examples, in a format that makes blockchain more accessible.”

The encyclopedia was developed in collaboration with Cryptita Plays, a non-profit initiative committed to educating young people through training programs and outreach on blockchain. Thanks to its experience working closely with students and educators in underserved communities, Cryptita Plays provided essential practical insights that guided the content and setup of the encyclopedia. This partnership strengthens the common goal of both organizations: to make blockchain education more accessible, inclusive, and impactful for young students worldwide.

“Our goal has always been to make the blockchain relevant for the next generation, not as a distant concept, but as something they can see, touch, and understand,” stated Arshelene Lingao, founder of Cryptita Plays. “This encyclopedia is a tool designed to bring these ideas to life, even outside the school environment.”

The distribution of the paper version will begin in areas where internet access is limited or irregular, allowing offline education in underserved territories. The paper version complements the digital edition of the encyclopedia, which remains accessible to students worldwide, encouraging multilingual learning and adaptation. The online encyclopedia is available here. To extend its reach, the digital edition will also be available on CoinGecko, making the encyclopedia more accessible to young students, educators, and newcomers to the blockchain world internationally. CoinGecko users can obtain the encyclopedia through the Candy Rewards program using the Candy earned from daily check-ins. View the CoinGecko page here.

“Blockchain is often seen as the future, but its impact is already tangible in today’s life. “The goal is to ensure that young people, regardless of their geographical origin or background, have the tools to participate in that future,” stated Vugar Usi Zade, COO of Bitget. “This encyclopedia represents a way to convert abstract concepts into concrete projects. It is a small step, but significant.”

The encyclopedia is part of the broader Blockchain4Youth initiative by Bitget, a global educational program aimed at providing the next generation with fundamental knowledge about blockchain and digital assets. Designed to be accessible and engaging, the initiative provides educational resources through physical publications like the encyclopedia, as well as digital content and in-person programming. By introducing key concepts of Web3 in age-appropriate and widely accessible formats, Blockchain4Youth aims to make blockchain literacy a practical reality for students worldwide, particularly in geographic areas where access to education on emerging technologies is limited.
