BlackRock Registers Ethereum Trust in Delaware: Reports

The world’s largest investment manager has applied to launch an Ethereum Trust even as investors await the approval of its US Bitcoin spot exchange-traded fund. The iShares Ethereum Trust was apparently registered by an entity who is a member of BlackRock advisors.

Since the news broke, Ethereum has risen above $2,000. The individual who filed the application is appears to be a BlackRock managing director Daniel Schwieger.

Earlier this year, BlackRock filed to launch a Bitcoin spot ETF in the US. The US Securities and Exchange Commission is reviewing the application.

This is a developing story.
