Publicly traded firms are rapidly increasing their BNB treasury, adopting yield-focused strategies on the BNB Chain.
Publicly traded companies are now aggressively increasing their digital asset reserves. Therefore, they are mainly depositing BNB, which is the native token of BNB Chain. As a result, this trend is taking corporate treasuries away from legacy holdings. The goal of this approach is to capture the yield and utility of the crypto ecosystem efficiently.
Biotech Firm Applied DNA Reports 50% Stock Surge
Shares of the biotech firm Applied DNA Sciences (ADNX) moved strongly on Wednesday. More importantly, the stock rose above 50% during the trading day. This followed after the company announced a major buy. Moreover, the company purchased 4,908 tokens of BNB. The value of the purchase was about $5.3 million.

Moreover, another similar purchase was also announced by the company. With this, the company wants to utilize net proceeds from a private investment. This investment will continue to successfully implement its BNB treasury strategy. Therefore, the firm will help cover current working capital requirements.
Patrick Horsman, CFA, Chief Investment Officer, discussed the strategy. He said they were looking forward to launching this new yield-focused BNB treasury. Furthermore, he considers BNB as the next-generation institutional-grade blockchain. Therefore, the company is confident that it will be able to take advantage of its future growth.
Likewise, CEA Industries has reserved only BNB. In October, the Canadian company reported a huge purchase of 500,000 BNB tokens. This acquisition added to its overall digital asset reserves. The company earlier announced its intentions to construct the world’s largest BNB treasury.
Instead, CEA dedicated its reserves to yield opportunities on-chain currently. They’re ambitious and time-limited, their stated goal. Specifically, they want to own 1% of the overall BNB supply at the end of 2025. The company is already the largest corporate holder of the token.
BNB Becomes Preferred Institutional Asset After Market Recovery
The decision by Applied DNA also comes on the heels of a $27 million PIPE tranche. The biotech firm used some of these proceeds to make the BNB acquisition today. Another indirect acquisition was also made by the company, which acquired 10,647 BNB tokens. This was accomplished through the use of OBNB trust units with success.
However, this corporate pivot happens in the face of recent market volatility. The crypto crash on October 12 wiped out $19 billion in total. Hence, Binance was blamed for technical glitches at once. Also, this involved the temporary depegging of the stablecoin USDe.
Therefore, the exchange reacted immediately to these criticisms. Binance has introduced a $400 million traders’ relief program for qualified traders. Furthermore, it also launched a meme coin trader BNB airdrop of $45 million. These actions offset losses that occurred during the crash. Hence, the ecosystem was quick to restore trust with the users.
Indeed, the steps of Applied DNA and CEA join a larger movement. As a result, public companies’ treasury asset mix is becoming increasingly diversified. Investing: They are not sticking to the conventional fixed-income assets anymore. Also, corporations use BNB for its utility in the ecosystem.
Moreover, this has been evident in almost all sectors worldwide. Other firms, such as Windtree Therapeutics and Nano Labs, are also involved. China Renaissance Holdings has also been successful in terms of gathering digital assets. Even the government is joining in the trend. For example, the Bhutan sovereign fund announced its BNB exposure in 2025.
The ultimate goal of this strategic treasury orientation is for high-yield, risk-managed exposure. The rise of BNB is a sign of confidence in the long-term value of the BNB Chain. This act further entrenches the token as an institutional asset
