Trump Media & Technology Group has unveiled plans to create a $2.5 billion Bitcoin treasury, joining a growing wave of public companies adding BTC and other digital assets to their balance sheets amid the ongoing crypto bull run.
The company intends to raise the capital by selling $1.5 billion worth of DJT shares at the latest closing price, alongside issuing $1 billion in convertible notes priced at a 35% premium.
The Bitcoin price climbed to $110k following the announcement, before a marginal pullback and is trading at $109.1k at press time.
Typically, major announcements like treasury deals, IPOs and corporate mergers are often top signals. However, the macroeconomic and global liquidity indicate that it is still early to invest in Bitcoin, which now appears poised for $150k in 2025.
