Bybit, the second largest cryptocurrency exchange in the world is proud to announce that Shunyet Jan, its current Head of Derivatives has taken on a new role as the Head of Institutional.
In his new role, Shunyet Jan will leverage his years of experience and insight gained from his various roles. Before joining Bybit, Shunyet Jan held various positions at several investment banks specializing in ETFs, programmatic trading, and index arbitrage. He later moved to algorithmic and high-frequency trading markets and eventually to the institutional crypto markets. Shunyet Jan has also served as a top global market maker and an institutional client advisor, which Bybit users can now benefit from.
Shunyet Jan joined Bybit in October 20204 as the Head of Derivative Business, bringing a fresh perspective to the project. Since then, he has used his combined years of experience in traditional finance and high-frequency trading to make Bybit a world-class options trading platform that reflects the sophistication of its traditional counterparts.
As the new Head of the Institution, Shunyet Jan will help Bybit continue serving its clients, solidifying its stand in the market. He hopes this new role will help him build a robust environment with refined trading conditions and enhanced tools including custody options and liquidity enhancement. He hopes these features will attract institutional clients and build a solid foundation for the Bybit growing ecosystem. Shunyet Jan’s expanding responsibilities are a testament to his commitment to Bybit’s ambitious vision, innovative dedication, and user-centric approach.
While expressing his excitement for his new role at Bybit, Shunyet Jan stated:
“Bybit has been an exciting place to work, with a strong focus on innovation and rapid execution. The culture here is remarkably collaborative, and it’s clear that agility and teamwork are at the heart of everything we do. While options are standard in traditional markets, they remain underutilized in crypto. My goal is to build a world-class options trading platform that offers the same level of sophistication and reliability that institutional investors expect. I’m focused on positioning Bybit as the top choice for institutional clients by enhancing our custody solutions, expanding loan products, and strengthening liquidity across the platform.”
Launched in 2018, Bybit provides an NFT marketplace, innovative online spot and derivatives trading services, mining and staking products, and API support to users. The platform serves over 50 million users. Bybit has formed various strategic partnerships, hired industry experts to support its vision, and received licensing. Just recently, Bybit received the Georgian VASP License to strengthen its global regulatory presence.
