The crypto bull market is well underway, and smart money investors have pivoted from Bitcoin to altcoins as they hunt for higher returns.
Ethereum continues to drive the broader market rally, reclaiming the $3,800 mark on Sunday for the first time since December 2024. ETH has appreciated by more than 50% in July.
Meanwhile, XRP has hit a new all-time high, peaking at $3.66 after surging by more than 60% in July.
There is now a growing belief that Cardano could be one of the next altcoins to explode. The ADA price is up by 60% in July as well. However, at $0.90, it is still trading over 70% below its all-time high, offering one of the best risk-reward ratios among top altcoins.
However, Cardano is approaching key resistance levels that warrant caution from sidelined investors. If the asset fails to break through, capital would be better deployed into top performers like Ethereum and high-beta plays such as Ethereum meme coins.
Cardano Price Prediction – Here’s When To Buy ADA
There is a strong demand for high-upside altcoins, and Cardano is emerging as one of the most attractive buys, especially among the majors.
ADA is breaking above its upper Bollinger Band, a move that has historically signalled the start of major rallies. Similar breakouts in 2021, 2022, and 2024 preceded surges of 1,500%, 117%, and 300%, respectively.
Similarly, it has breached the 200-day Simple Moving Average, another reliable “buy” signal that typically precedes strong rallies.
Cardano’s Relative Strength Index (RSI), which calculates the speed and magnitude of recent price changes, further confirms that an explosive breakout is imminent. ADA’s weekly and monthly RSI have both crossed the 50 mark, typically a sign of gathering bullish momentum.
Experts are also giving bullish Cardano price predictions. Prominent analyst Ali Martinez highlights that ADA is seeing significant whale activity, projecting that a short-term rally to $1 is imminent. Others project that the altcoin will hit a new all-time high in Q3.
However, new buyers need to be watchful.
Unlike most altcoins like Ethereum and XRP, Cardano still hasn’t breached its macro downtrend, while its daily RSI has already reached the “overbought” zone with an 83 mark.
Meanwhile, ADA faces strong resistance between $1.08 and $1.14. There is a possibility that the Cardano price rallies up to these levels, but fails to flip them into support, which could result in downside volatility.
Therefore, it is highly possible that Ethereum and XRP continue to outperform altcoins like ADA, particularly owing to the strong institutional demand. For instance, the aforementioned analyst Martinez projects that ETH could surge to $10,000 if it breaches the $4,000 resistance.
BitMine Chairman Tom Lee has also given a $15,000 Ethereum price prediction. Sidelined investors should, therefore, consider investing in ETH beta coins to prepare for Ethereum’s continued outperformance.
The Next Altcoins To Explode
Besides potentially Cardano, Dogecoin is emerging as another large-cap altcoin that could be on the cusp of an explosive rally. Currently trading at $0.28, DOGE simply needs to secure a weekly close above the $0.30 S/R level for another push towards new highs.
Meanwhile, Solana has finally breached the $180 resistance and is already seeing an explosive surge, up by nearly 10% today.
Among the meme coins, Pudgy Penguins (PENGU) continues to be in high demand, with another 17% surge today.
Meanwhile, low-cap meme coins are in high demand as well. For instance, TOKEN6900 (T6900) has raised over $900k in its viral presale, with many viewing it as the next SPX6900.
