IOTA’s Business Innovation Program (BIP) has announced its first participants, including Impierce, Orobo, and ObjectID, to develop real-world solutions on the IOTA Mainnet.

IOTA’s Business Innovation Program (BIP) has officially welcomed its first cohort of participants, aiming to leverage the IOTA Mainnet to create impactful real-world solutions. The program, which offers up to €100,000 in funding and access to IOTA’s infrastructure, is designed to foster innovation in digital identity, sustainability, and product data integrity, according to the IOTA Blog.

Impierce Technologies: Advancing Digital Identity

Among the initial participants is Impierce Technologies, a European social enterprise focused on developing secure, privacy-centric digital identity solutions. Their ecosystem includes products such as UniMe, a self-sovereign identity wallet, and UniTrust, a B2B/B2C credential verification layer. These tools are aimed at enhancing trust and security across various sectors, including education and e-commerce.

Orobo: Sustainable Supply Chains

Orobo is another participant, introducing a Digital Product Passport platform to assist manufacturers in tracing and verifying product life cycles, from raw material sourcing to disposal. This initiative aligns with European sustainability regulations and aims to tackle challenges such as data fragmentation and greenwashing in the supply chain industry.

ObjectID: Enhancing Product Authenticity

ObjectID, developed by SDV Consulting, assigns verifiable identities to physical products to enhance traceability and combat counterfeiting. This solution is particularly valuable in industries like food, pharmaceuticals, and luxury goods, where authenticity and traceability are critical.

All three projects will utilize IOTA’s Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) to ensure transparency, scalability, and data integrity. The IOTA Mainnet, known for its robust identity infrastructure, provides a reliable platform for these initiatives, enabling seamless integration and future scalability.

The BIP remains open for additional proposals until December 31, 2025, encouraging more innovators to join the initiative and contribute to building scalable, verifiable solutions addressing real-world challenges.
