Metaplanet Inc. has acquired 136 additional Bitcoin for approximately $15.2 million, according to a filing released Monday.

The Tokyo-listed company reported an average purchase price of $111,666 (¥16.55 million) per coin, bringing its total holdings to 20,136 Bitcoin.
At current levels, Metaplanet’s Bitcoin investment amounts to about $2.08 billion (¥304.6 billion) with an average cost basis of $103,196 (¥15.1 million) per coin.
The company is now the sixth-largest publicly traded holder of Bitcoin.
Based on its stated targets, the firm has achieved 67% of its goal to hold 30,000 Bitcoin by the end of 2025 and 20% of its 2026 objective of 100,000 Bitcoin.
These targets were revised upward from an earlier plan of 10,000 Bitcoin by 2025 and 21,000 Bitcoin by 2026.
