Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse was seen at today’s White House crypto summit.

The Ripple boss appeared alongside administration officials, top financial regulators, and other major industry leaders.

Garlinghouse did not deliver a speech, and the administration's mention of Ripple was brief. Hence, XRP did not experience an immediate breakout.

Keeping innovation on American soil

The White House has made it clear that it wants domestic crypto businesses to operate with confidence.

Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) Chair Michael Selig echoed the administration's pro-innovation stance. "The era of political lawfare, debanking, and regulation by enforcement is over," Selig said. "Innovators like the people in this room are welcomed to the White House, not railroaded to the big house. And the new frontier of finance is being built right here in the United States of America."

"We've exiled Gary Gensler, defeated the anti-crypto army, and made the United States the crypto capital of the world," Selig said.

Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Chair Paul Atkins spoke of the agency's newly proposed crypto assets rule. He said that it "would provide crypto entrepreneurs like those here in this room and job creators the certainty to raise capital in the United States using digital assets."

"Fix money, we fix the world"

During the event, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong stressed the importance of the upcoming Sept. 15 Senate procedural vote on the Clarity Act.

"This would make all of the progress that this administration has made durable into the future so it could survive for decades and decades to come," Armstrong said. "If we all come together, I think we can get this bill over the finish line and hopefully get more than 60 votes come September 15th."

Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev focused on the democratizing power of tokenized assets. "If I had to sum up Robinhood in one word, it would be ownership. Broad ownership is essential to a free, stable, and prosperous society," Tenev remarked.

Kraken CEO Arjun Sethi reflected on his company's ethos and the fundamental goal of the industry leaders present. "All we're trying to do is make sure that everyone in America has the ability to be able to succeed in the same way that we did," Sethi explained. "Our motto at Kraken has been: fix money, we fix the world."
