Trace collaborates with ATP to mint digital collectibles on Sui, enhancing fan engagement with dynamic NFTs during the Nitto ATP Finals in Turin.

In an innovative move to enhance fan engagement, Trace, a Web3 sports marketing platform, has launched digital collectibles on the Sui blockchain, according to Sui Foundation. This initiative involves a collaboration with the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) to commemorate significant moments from the Nitto ATP Finals, scheduled to take place in Turin from November 10 to 17, 2024.

Dynamic NFTs on Sui

Trace’s digital collectibles, known as Traces, utilize Sui’s dynamic NFT technology. Unlike traditional static NFTs found on other blockchains, these dynamic NFTs can evolve based on real-time input and events, offering fans a visually rich and immersive experience. Each Trace represents a unique visual depiction of an event, crafted with precision and driven by data.

Momentum Collection

The first collection, named Momentum, is a limited-edition series of official memorabilia from the ATP Finals. Each Trace in the Momentum collection corresponds to a singles match during the tournament. Notably, these collectibles are available to fans for free, albeit for a limited time tied to each specific event. This approach not only enhances fan interaction but also introduces a novel method of distributing sports memorabilia.

Innovative Technologies

Sui’s Kiosk feature underpins the rule-setting capabilities for these NFTs, facilitating enforceable royalties and trading parameters. Moreover, Trace employs Sui’s zkLogin technology, allowing fans to acquire Traces without the need for a Sui wallet. Fans can conveniently log in using existing credentials from platforms like Google and Facebook, lowering the barrier to entry for sports enthusiasts.

A New Era for Sports Memorabilia

This partnership between Trace and the ATP signifies a shift towards digital engagement in the sports industry. By leveraging blockchain technology, Trace is redefining how fans can connect with their favorite sports moments, creating a unique memorabilia experience that resonates with the digital age.

Fans eager to participate in this innovative venture can claim their unique Traces during the Nitto ATP Finals, further bridging the gap between traditional sports and cutting-edge technology.
