VeChain’s VeBetter ecosystem surpasses 43 million on-chain verified actions with 5 million users tracking environmental impact through 50+ applications.
VeChain’s VeBetter platform has crossed 43 million verified sustainability actions, with the ecosystem now hosting over 5 million users across more than 50 applications designed to track and reward environmentally conscious behavior.
The platform, which runs on VeChainThor’s enterprise blockchain, converts everyday sustainable choices into immutable on-chain records. Users earn rewards for actions ranging from using reusable cups to community cleanups, with verification happening automatically in the background.
Impact Metrics Show Real-World Results
According to VeChain’s latest data, user actions over the past year have generated measurable environmental outcomes:
- 350,000+ kilograms of plastic reduced, equivalent to 15 million bottles
- 8 million kilowatt-hours of energy saved, enough to power 740 homes annually
- 90 million liters of water preserved
These figures represent verified on-chain data rather than self-reported estimates—a distinction VeChain emphasizes as critical for genuine sustainability accounting.
Enterprise Adoption Provides Foundation
VeBetter sits atop infrastructure already trusted by major corporations. Walmart China uses VeChainThor to track products from origin to shelf, recording every scan and temperature reading on-chain. Lululemon assigns blockchain-based digital identities to products, enabling verification of authenticity and material sourcing.
The enterprise angle becomes particularly relevant as Europe’s Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation takes effect this year. Rekord, working with VeChain, processes hundreds of thousands of Digital Product Passport events monthly—infrastructure that manufacturers need for EU market access across 27 member states.
UFC Partnership Signals Mainstream Push
A partnership with UFC through the BYB gym app represents VeChain’s strategy to embed blockchain verification into spaces where audiences already congregate. Rather than asking users to seek out crypto applications, the approach brings verification technology to existing fitness and wellness communities.
The VeWorld wallet app serves as the entry point, designed to abstract away blockchain complexity. No gas fee calculations, no wallet address management—just straightforward tracking of sustainable actions with rewards appearing automatically.
Governance Rights Accompany Participation
Beyond earning rewards, VeBetter participants gain voting rights on platform proposals. Users can influence which applications join the ecosystem, shape feature development, and weigh in on partnership decisions. This governance layer aims to create stakeholder investment beyond simple reward collection.
VeChain, which has maintained 100% uptime since its 2017 launch, positions VeBetter as proof that blockchain adoption scales when the technology becomes invisible to end users. The 43 million verified actions suggest the model works—at least for users already motivated by sustainability goals. Whether that translates to broader mainstream adoption remains the next test.
