Approximately 1.6 billion XRP tokens flowed into Binance over the past 30 days, marking the highest 30-day inflow recorded since March, according to data from CryptoQuant.
Large token transfers to exchanges can signal potential selling activity, as traders typically move coins to exchanges before selling. However, CryptoQuant noted that inflows alone do not conclusively prove that selling has occurred. The data currently suggests a cautious short-term outlook rather than a definitive bearish signal.
The market impact will depend on subsequent activity. If Binance reserves continue to grow while XRP's price weakens, selling pressure could intensify. Conversely, if reserves stabilize and the price holds, the market may be absorbing the additional supply without significant downward pressure.
Futures Markets Show Strong Activity
XRP futures trading remained robust in September, with volumes near their highest levels of the past six months. Trading activity increased from August levels.
Binance led futures trading with approximately $32.36 billion in XRP volume during September. Bybit followed with roughly $12.5 billion, and OKX recorded approximately $11.32 billion, with remaining volume distributed across other exchanges.
Higher futures volumes typically indicate increased trader participation and money flowing through the market, often resulting in stronger liquidity that facilitates easier trade execution.
