Tokenized commodities deposited across decentralized finance platforms have reached $133.3 million, with Aave accounting for $51.3 million across its V2, V3, and V4 versions. Combined with Uniswap, the two protocols represent approximately 86% of reported tokenized commodity deposits, underscoring Aave's expanding footprint in real-world asset tokenization.
The growth in real-world asset activity reflects increasing adoption of commodity-backed tokens on decentralized platforms. Aave founder Stani Kulechov recently supplied an additional $4.77 million in AAVE liquidity to Uniswap, reinforcing the ecosystem's market depth.
Supply Pressures Test Token Recovery
Despite improving fundamentals, AAVE faces headwinds from rising exchange reserves. According to CryptoQuant data, AAVE exchange reserves increased 7.59% in a 24-hour period, bringing the total dollar value held across exchange wallets to approximately $415.2 million. Higher exchange reserves typically indicate increased potential selling pressure if token holders move to realize gains.
This supply concern carries particular weight given AAVE's substantial recovery from its June low, during which the token climbed approximately 2.7 times in value. The technical picture, however, remains intact as buyers maintained a breakout above the $147.64 resistance level.
Technical Levels in Focus
On daily charts, AAVE broke above $147.64 resistance and extended toward $154.39, leaving a narrow gap before the next key resistance at $160. The RSI indicator strengthened to 66.61, remaining below the 70 overbought threshold and suggesting room for additional price advance.
A successful break above $160 could expose the $180 zone. Liquidation clusters visible above the current price around the $157-$162 region could attract additional buying pressure if buyers maintain support above the newly reclaimed $147.64 level. A loss of this support would weaken the technical breakout back into the previous consolidation range.
