Aave V4 Expands to Circle's Arc Network
Aave V4 is now operational on Circle's newly launched Arc blockchain. Aave Labs confirmed the activation of the Arc deployment, making the market fully operational with initial support for USDC, EURC, cirBTC, and WETH.
The integration aligns Circle's network, which is designed around institutional finance, stablecoins, and tokenized assets, with Aave V4's flexible hub-and-spoke liquidity architecture. This setup places an Aave lending market directly inside Circle's institutional ecosystem.
Hub-and-Spoke Architecture
The deployment utilizes one Core Liquidity Hub, from which different spokes draw liquidity for separate borrowing and collateral use cases. The initial configuration includes a general Main Spoke alongside a Forex Spoke focused on stablecoin borrowing.
While USDC, EURC, cirBTC, and WETH comprise the launch configuration, exact collateral treatments vary between markets. This hub-and-spoke design aims to reduce fragmentation by allowing a single hub to serve multiple spokes while maintaining distinct risk parameters for different use cases.
Launch Details and Conservative Approach
The choice of launch assets reflects Arc's focus on stablecoin settlement and financial applications, with USDC and EURC central to Circle's ecosystem, while cirBTC and WETH provide Bitcoin and Ethereum exposure respectively. Aave's governance proposal outlined plans for conservative caps during the early stages to account for the time required for liquidity to develop on a new blockchain.
According to an Aave Labs update, the market went live following the Protocol Security Council's decision to lift a temporary deployment halt on September 16. Users can now access the market directly through Aave's interface.
