AMP has recovered more than 130% from its August low, climbing from about $0.0004 to over $0.000830, even as broader crypto markets saw risk-off sentiment in early October. The altcoin closed above $0.000830 for the first time since its second-half 2026 recovery began, a level that served as crucial support in April and early May before breaking down in June amid a wider sell-off.
Bullish Technicals, but Volume Drops Sharply
AMP is now trading above its moving averages, signaling a bullish flip for the first time since early 2025. The Relative Strength Index also leans bullish. If the token decisively holds above the former support, the April sideways structure could repeat, with immediate upside targets at $0.00010 and $0.00011, levels tied to the October 2025 crash.
However, market interest has fallen significantly. Trading volume on Binance, which once peaked at $22 billion in AMP tokens, has crashed to about 3 billion tokens. In the past 24 hours alone, overall trading volume dropped over 60%, according to CoinGecko. A continued decline could prevent AMP from holding the April price range. A confirmed uptrend would require the token to stay above its moving averages with strong volume.
Concentrated Supply Adds Manipulation Risk
About 62% of AMP supply is controlled by the top 10 addresses, according to CoinMarketCap. This concentration exposes the altcoin to price manipulation, volatile swings, and liquidations.
While AMP remains up over 130% from its August low, the sharp drop in volume and concentrated holder distribution are key risk factors for bulls.
