After a $6.3 billion security breach at Binance, the exchange restored withdrawals and reimbursed a large portion of the stolen funds from its corporate reserves. Analyst Ali Martinez noted that the return to normal operations coincided with technical buy signals on four altcoins, which he interprets as possible early signs of a broader market recovery.
Altcoins with TD Sequential buy signals
Cardano (ADA): The token fell from above $0.28 to around $0.18 after the Binance incident. Martinez reported a daily TD Sequential buy signal and said that a move above $0.20 could lead to a target near $0.23.
Algorand (ALGO): After slipping below $0.09, the asset generated a daily TD Sequential buy signal. Martinez indicated that a breakout above $0.10 might open the path toward $0.113.
Aave (AAVE): The token reached a monthly low under $120 during the crisis but has risen 16 % since a TD Sequential buy signal on 30 October. Martinez suggested that continued buying pressure could push the price toward $155, where a TD setup resistance line lies.
Raydium (RAY): A sell alert on 10 October preceded a 30 % correction, while a buy signal on 18 October preceded a 16 % rebound. A recent bullish cue could validate a move toward the resistance trendline near $1.90, representing roughly a 19 % increase from current levels.
Analyst perspective
Martinez compared the Binance event to the 2022 FTX collapse, noting that both incidents were followed by market bottoms. He emphasized that he is not panic‑selling and is using the pullback to build a diversified altcoin portfolio.
