Analyst Ali Martinez has outlined a technical case for Dogecoin (DOGE), pointing to three factors that could support a price recovery from recent lows.
Martinez cited a TD Sequential buy signal that appeared on DOGE's daily chart at approximately $0.081. He also noted that this price level represents a critical support level, with roughly 36 billion coins having traded around it historically. The analyst added that investors have accumulated approximately 600 million DOGE since October 12, suggesting buying interest near support levels.
If the $0.081 support holds and DOGE rebounds, Martinez identified $0.16 to $0.17 as potential resistance zones, noting that historical cost-basis data shows significant concentrations of coins acquired in that range.
However, the broader market context suggests caution. The cryptocurrency market has declined from its late Q3 and early Q4 peaks, when Bitcoin reached $87,000. The meme-coin sector specifically has lost momentum compared to previous cycles, with Dogecoin now ranked outside the top 10 digital assets by market capitalization. Additionally, spot DOGE exchange-traded funds have seen essentially no net inflows, indicating limited retail demand.
While technical indicators may signal potential turning points, the combination of market weakness and declining sector interest suggests treating bullish price predictions with restraint given current conditions.
