Aptos Builds Onchain Financial Stack With Stablecoins, Tokenized Funds and Payments

Aptos is positioning itself as a unified venue for stablecoins, tokenized funds, lending, trading and payments, backed by names like BlackRock, Franklin Templeton, Aave and Bullish. But stablecoin supply on the network has fallen sharply from its 2025 peak.

Aptos Builds Onchain Financial Stack With Stablecoins, Tokenized Funds and Payments

Aptos is pitching itself as more than a fast Layer 1 blockchain—it wants to be a full onchain financial system where stablecoins, tokenized funds, lending, trading and payments all operate side by side. The network’s case now leans on institutional partners including BlackRock, Franklin Templeton, Aave and, most recently, Bullish.

The timing is notable: stablecoin supply on Aptos has fallen well below its previous peak, so the network is highlighting institutional integrations to support its growth narrative.

What is live on Aptos

Stablecoins such as USDT and USDC form the base layer of the Aptos financial stack, serving as the dollars in which other assets are priced and settled. As of early November 2026, the stablecoin market capitalization on Aptos stood at approximately $773 million, down from a peak of around $1.49 billion in October 2025.

Above that cash layer sit tokenized funds. BlackRock’s BUIDL and Franklin Templeton’s BENJI are both live on Aptos.

Lending is also present. Aave, one of the largest names in decentralized finance, launched on Aptos in August 2025. That deployment was notable because it was Aave’s first outside the Ethereum Virtual Machine, the software environment most DeFi apps are built for. Aptos uses a different architecture, so Aave had to deploy on a new environment rather than copy and paste. The protocol supports USDC and USDT for borrowing and lending on the network.

Bullish, equities and the payments push

The newest piece arrived on November 3, 2026, when Bullish was onboarded as a partner for equity tokenization on Aptos. The model aims to put shares onchain while keeping official ownership records intact by linking to traditional transfer agents such as Equiniti, the firms that maintain the legal register of who owns which shares.

Payments are the other major component. Aptos has partnerships with Bitso and Yellow Card, two firms focused on moving money across borders using stablecoins. Those integrations have produced reported 30-day transaction volumes of more than $15 billion in low-cost stablecoin transfers. For a network with a stablecoin float of around $773 million, that implies the same dollars are changing hands many times over.

How Aptos got here

Aptos launched its mainnet in 2022 with a sales pitch built around high throughput and low fees. Stablecoin adoption on the network has picked up since 2024. The past year has been about converting that technical foundation into relationships with institutions that already manage real money.

What this means

The strategic bet is integration. Aptos argues that the value comes from having all of these pieces able to talk to each other on the same ledger.

The stablecoin numbers are the honest counterweight. A drop from around $1.49 billion to approximately $773 million shows that liquidity on Aptos is not sticky by default.

Over $15 billion in reported monthly payment volume suggests real usage, especially in markets served by Bitso and Yellow Card.

The Bullish equity partnership is the piece to watch most closely. Tokenized stocks are a newer and more regulated frontier than tokenized money market funds. If the transfer agent model works smoothly, it could give Aptos a template for bringing more traditional securities onchain.
