MAX Digital Asset Exchange, operated by MaiCoin Group, has added support for native Tether USDT on the Aptos blockchain. Deposits and withdrawals began on September 29, with trading pairs opening on September 30 at 15:00 GMT+8.
The integration allows users to deposit Taiwanese dollars, purchase USDT issued natively on Aptos, and withdraw the tokens to an Aptos wallet. The process works in reverse as well, with no wrapped assets or cross-chain bridges involved. MAX is also listing trading pairs for HYPE, GRAM, APT, and RENDER on the same date.
MAX has cautioned users to select the correct Aptos network when initiating deposits, warning that sending tokens to the wrong network can result in permanent asset loss.
Native USDT on Aptos
Tether began issuing USDT natively on Aptos in late 2024. Major exchanges including Binance and Bithumb have since added support for Aptos-native USDT.
Taiwan's Crypto Market
TWD-denominated trading pairs serve a distinct role in Taiwan's market. Because the Taiwanese Dollar lacks the global support of the US Dollar, Euro, or Japanese Yen, local platforms like MAX address a significant gap for regional traders.
MaiCoin Group has positioned MAX as a compliance-focused exchange in Taiwan, where regulatory frameworks around digital assets continue to develop. The group also issues its own utility token, MAX, which provides trading fee discounts on the platform.
