Aptos [APT] rebounded over 13% in 24 hours as the broader cryptocurrency market recovered, with the total market cap of all cryptocurrencies surpassing $2.77 trillion, up more than 2.21%. APT's daily trading volume reached $100 million at the time of reporting.
The gains coincided with Aptos Labs' announcement of a Block-STM v2 upgrade, which was completed on October 15th. The upgrade, explained by Aptos Labs' Head of Research Alexander Spiegelman and Near Protocol co-founder Illia Polosukhin, increased transaction throughput and scalability across the network.

Following the upgrade, the chain's transaction processing speed (TPS) reached a peak of 1,308, though real-time throughput measured 174, reflecting a gap between theoretical and actual capacity.
Daily Active Accounts rose from 46,670 to 49,385, a 5.82% increase. The monthly total of active accounts reached 710,712 with 16 days remaining in October. New accounts created grew from 4,098 to 4,395, while user transactions increased by more than 1.335 million in a single day.

APT has faced resistance at $0.8777 on the 4-hour chart, with the price rejected multiple times at this level, including a false breakout five days prior. At the time of reporting, APT was trading above $0.8777, with the SuperTrend indicator flipping to bullish.
If sustained buying pressure continues, the altcoin may encounter resistance at $1.00.
