Aptos (APT) recorded an 18.6% price increase as Layer-1 tokens attracted speculative demand across the broader cryptocurrency market. The rally reflected a sector-wide rotation toward higher-beta altcoins rather than an isolated catalyst for APT.
At the time of reporting, APT traded near $0.6616 after buyers intensified activity during the latest session. The price advance carried the token beyond its established $0.654 resistance level, reaching approximately $0.711 on the daily chart—a level where previous liquidity sweeps had occurred.
Trader positioning favors bulls
Binance top traders maintained a clear long-side bias as APT approached its range ceiling. Long accounts represented 61.79% of positioning against 8.21% for shorts, yielding a long-to-short ratio of 1.62. The ratio had fluctuated substantially earlier in the period, including around September 11.
This bullish positioning complemented the broader Layer-1 rotation already supporting APT's spot-market recovery. Analysts noted that sustained bullish positions depend on APT successfully holding its breakout attempt, as price rejection could expose leveraged positions if traders reduce exposure after the rapid rally.
Technical levels in focus
APT spent months oscillating between $0.509 and $0.654 before the recent breakout. The RSI indicator climbed to 60.94, remaining below overbought territory while strengthening above its 53.83 average. The MACD indicator also crossed above its signal line, supporting bullish momentum.
Persistent support above $0.654 would reinforce the technical breakout and potentially shift focus toward the $0.825 resistance level. Liquidation clusters remained elevated in the $0.69 to $0.72 area, with additional liquidity concentration higher up the chart.
Conversely, failure to hold above $0.654 would expose lower support zones around $0.63 to $0.60, with a deeper reversal potentially reaching the broader $0.509 range floor if bullish leverage unwinds significantly.
