Arab Global Crypto Exchange (AGCX), a Capital Markets Authority-licensed virtual assets platform, will launch on September 10, 2026, providing UAE residents and eligible users in supported jurisdictions access to a locally regulated cryptocurrency trading venue.
Founded by capital markets veteran Satish Gogia, AGCX is designed to address a gap in the regional market by enabling direct trading between UAE dirhams and digital assets without requiring users to access offshore exchanges.
Key Features at Launch
The platform will offer verified users the ability to deposit AED directly from UAE bank accounts and trade spot, futures and options contracts across major digital asset pairs. AGCX will charge zero platform fees on crypto deposits and withdrawals, while supporting staking for selected assets and providing access to a launchpad for new token listings.
Trading will be available through web and mobile platforms, with regulator-compliant processes for cryptocurrency deposits and withdrawals.
Regulatory Compliance
AGCX operates under a license from the Capital Markets Authority, formerly known as the Securities and Commodities Authority. The platform's operations, including know-your-customer onboarding, transaction monitoring and custody procedures, are designed to meet UAE anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing requirements.
Leadership and Governance
Satish Gogia, a Chartered Accountant with over 40 years of experience in capital markets and commodities, serves as founder and chairman. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Khalifa Sultan Shakhbout Al Nahyan, a member of the Abu Dhabi Royal Family, serves as a non-executive director of the exchange.
