Arthur Hayes Re-enters ETHFI Position Following 25% Weekly Rally

BitMEX co-founder Arthur Hayes has re-established a position in Ether.fi (ETHFI), purchasing 1.9 million tokens valued at approximately $1.17 million. According to onchain data, the purchase price averaged $0.62 per token, representing an entry level roughly 41% higher than his previous exit.

The transaction follows an earlier trade in April, during which Hayes sold 265,461 ETHFI tokens at $0.44 each for a total of about $118,000, booking a loss. Onchain analytics platform Lookonchain flagged the renewed accumulation roughly four hours after settlement.

The recent buy-in coincides with a 25.3% weekly rally for ETHFI amid a broader market recovery. Over the same timeframe, Bitcoin rose 21.4% and Ethereum gained 27.8%. Despite the weekly gains, ETHFI remains approximately 93% below its March 2024 all-time high of $8.53. At press time, the token trades at $0.631, reflecting an 11.1% increase over 24 hours and a market capitalization of $649.7 million that ranks it 92nd.

Data reviewing wallets attributed to Hayes indicates a broader history of trading losses. Between December 2023 and August 2026, three tracked wallets recorded a cumulative loss of $2.47 million across 124 trades. ETHFI contributed $474,000 to those losses, while Ethena (ENA) remained the sole profitable position with a gain of $3.23 million.
