Binance Credits ASMLB Holders $1.79 per Share Dividend in Extra Tokens

Binance has credited eligible holders of ASMLB, its tokenized version of ASML Holding N.V. stock, with a dividend worth $1.79 per share, paid out as additional ASMLB tokens rather than cash. The exchange announced the arrangement on October 23, 2026, covering two of its tokenized bStocks: ASMLB and NOKB, which is tied to Nokia Corporation.

Under the framework, Binance said it would reinvest the net proceeds into more tokens instead of passing along a cash dividend, leaving eligible holders with a larger token balance rather than a USDT deposit.

Snapshot and trading timeline

Eligibility was determined by a snapshot taken on October 27, 2026, at 00:00 UTC, meaning holdings at that moment were the ones that counted.

Ahead of the snapshot, conversions, deposits and withdrawals for ASMLB and NOKB were suspended at 23:30 UTC on October 26, 2026. The half-hour buffer allowed the exchange to freeze activity before taking its count.

Trading continued through the pause, with pairs such as ASMLB/USDT remaining open for buying and selling.

How the reinvestment works

For tokens held on-chain, the reinvestment is handled through a multiplier mechanism. Each holder's balance is scaled up by a factor reflecting the net dividend, rather than new tokens being distributed one transfer at a time.

The $1.79 per-share figure credited to ASMLB holders reflects comparable dividends paid on ASML shares around the same period.

ASMLB and NOKB are BEP-20 tokens issued on BNB Smart Chain, operating on a model where each token is backed 1:1 by the underlying stock. That backing differs from ownership: holding ASMLB does not make an investor a direct shareholder of ASML, nor does it confer the rights that come with owning the shares outright.

Binance has used a similar approach for other bStocks tokens, including those linked to Micron.

Tradeoffs and the tokenized-equity test

Paying cash dividends across thousands of wallets, both on the exchange and on-chain, involves substantial operational complexity, and a multiplier that resizes balances avoids much of that plumbing. It also keeps holders fully invested, with no small cash credit left idle in an account.

The tradeoff is flexibility. Investors who wanted income they could withdraw or redeploy elsewhere must now sell a slice of their tokens to obtain it.

Dividend handling is one of the clearest tests of whether tokenized stocks can stand in for the real thing. A token that tracks price but ignores dividends would gradually drift from the value of the underlying share, and by crediting the $1.79 per-share payout, Binance keeps ASMLB holders roughly in line with what ASML shareholders received.

Each dividend event now involves a temporary freeze on conversions, deposits and withdrawals — windows that need to remain short and predictable to keep users comfortable. Because the tokens are backed by stock rather than representing direct ownership, holders rely on Binance and its arrangements to keep the 1:1 backing intact and to pass through corporate actions accurately.
