Binance announced that withdrawal volumes were stabilizing after an initial surge following its post‑hack restart on November 1, 2026. Between 06:00 and 15:30 UTC the exchange processed $4.649 billion in withdrawals and $1.01 billion in deposits.
Net outflows and asset impact
The net outflow for the period was approximately $3.64 billion, representing about 2.1% of Binance’s reported assets under management, which were based on a proof‑of‑reserves figure of $171 billion dated October 28.
Withdrawal restoration timeline
Binance began restoring withdrawals in phases at 06:00 UTC and had reopened all routes for the 15 networks and assets in the initial phase by 12:36 UTC. The restored routes included major assets such as BTC on Bitcoin, ETH, USDT and USDC on Ethereum, BNB, USDT and USDC on BNB Smart Chain, as well as tokens on Base, Optimism, Arbitrum, Solana, Zcash, TON, Sui, Tron, Polygon and Avalanche C‑Chain.
Asset replacement progress
The exchange reported that asset replacement had risen to roughly 95% of the impacted amount, using company resources rather than recovered stolen funds. Balances for BTC, ETH, USDT, BNB, SOL, USDC, XRP, USD1, RLUSD and ZEC were fully backed according to a reserve snapshot taken at 00:00 UTC on October 31.
Further updates
An updated proof‑of‑reserves report is expected on November 2. The FBI has attributed the theft to North Korean actors, noting that stolen assets were primarily converted into ether. Binance said it will publish a post‑incident report after its investigation concludes.
