Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs Register Largest Weekly Inflows Since October

US-listed Bitcoin and Ethereum exchange-traded funds recorded their largest week since October, drawing a combined $2.6 billion in the seven days ended August 21. The surge reversed a previous week of combined outflows totaling $391.96 million.

Bitcoin products captured $1.92 billion of the total, featuring five consecutive days of net inflows from August 17 to August 21, according to SoSoValue data. This run included a $606 million single-day haul on August 20. Trading activity for Bitcoin funds also climbed, reaching $22.15 billion for the week—roughly triple the prior week's volume.

Ethereum funds added $697.18 million during the same period, with their largest daily intake since October landing on August 20 at $220.77 million.

Despite the weekly gains, broader metrics show mixed yearly trends. Cumulative net inflows into Bitcoin ETFs have fallen to $53.71 billion from a peak of $62.77 billion in October. Furthermore, year-to-date figures show BTC funds shedding $2.91 billion and ETH products losing $177.93 million in 2026.

Asset growth outpaced new money creations during the week. Combined assets across both products rose by about $23 billion, driven largely by revaluation during three sessions from August 19 to August 21. At press time, Bitcoin traded near $77,125, while Ethereum changed hands at $2,423.

Other major US altcoin spot ETFs also posted weekly net inflows. XRP funds led this group with $39.78 million and set a record for weekly trading volume at $271.74 million. Solana products followed with $28.34 million, marking their eighth consecutive week of inflows. Chainlink funds drew $13.35 million, Hyperliquid added $3.89 million, and Dogecoin funds brought in $654,416.
