U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs drew $241.08 million between September 28 and October 2, extending their inflow streak to three consecutive weeks. The result marks a significant slowdown from the prior period, when bitcoin ETFs had attracted $2.39 billion over five sessions.
Daily flows proved uneven throughout the week. Bitcoin funds recorded $31.07 million in inflows on Monday and $66.19 million on Tuesday, followed by a $148.69 million outflow Wednesday that broke a nine-session winning streak. Buyers returned with $102.67 million on Thursday and $189.84 million on Friday to close the week positive.
BlackRock Leads, Other Funds Show Weakness
BlackRock's IBIT dominated weekly inflows with $450.18 million in net additions. Other major bitcoin ETFs moved in the opposite direction: Fidelity's FBTC lost $167.94 million, Grayscale's GBTC shed $54.58 million, and Bitwise's BITB declined $38.65 million.
The slower weekly pace follows a strong September for bitcoin ETFs, which collected $2.65 billion during the month—their second-strongest monthly result since October 2025. Six of the last seven weeks have ended with net inflows for bitcoin ETFs.
Ether and Zcash Lose Momentum
Ether ETFs recorded approximately $138 million in net outflows, marking their weakest weekly showing in several weeks. Fidelity's FETH accounted for $74.06 million of the redemptions. Despite the weekly decline, ether ETFs still attracted $832.43 million in September, though this represented a significant drop from August's $1.85 billion.
Zcash ETFs experienced an even sharper reversal, losing $93.56 million and ending a five-week inflow streak. Grayscale's ZCSH recorded outflows on multiple days as assets fell below the $1 billion threshold reached in late September.
Mixed Results Across Other Assets
Solana ETFs managed $2.43 million in weekly inflows despite multiple negative sessions, building on September's $271.61 million. XRP ETFs added approximately $4.74 million for the week, while HYPE ETFs finished with roughly $3.31 million in net inflows, extending their positive run to three weeks.
NEAR Debuts With Strong First Week
Bitwise's NEAR fund launched Tuesday with $35.99 million in inflows and accumulated approximately $58.35 million over its first five trading days, including $14.04 million on Wednesday, $8.08 million on Thursday, and $241,620 on Friday.
The week's flows occurred as softer U.S. employment data eased concerns about additional Federal Reserve tightening. September payrolls rose by 29,000, below expectations, with earlier months revised lower. Growth data remained resilient, keeping the broader economic backdrop uncertain.
The mixed results underscore a shifting institutional landscape, with capital becoming increasingly selective across asset categories.
