US spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) recorded $517.2 million in net inflows on Wednesday, marking their largest single-day investment since May 4. The strong performance pushed August net inflows to $1.47 billion.
Investors have poured more than $1 billion into these funds since Monday, delivering their strongest weekly net inflow since the week ending January 16, when they attracted approximately $1.42 billion.
The capital influx accompanied a broader rally in crypto prices on Wednesday. The market movements coincided with a US Treasury decision to expand buybacks of longer-dated government debt and renewed attention on crypto regulation following President Donald Trump's call for Congress to advance the CLARITY Act at a White House event.
Jonatan Randin, senior market analyst at PrimeXBT, noted that the Treasury's signal to step in at the long end pushed yields and the dollar lower. He observed that Bitcoin moved alongside gold and silver rather than risk appetite.
By Thursday, Bitcoin was trading near $72,000, representing an 11% increase over the preceding 24 hours, while Ether climbed 19% to approximately $2,286. Spot Ether ETFs also saw positive momentum, logging $189.2 million in net inflows on Wednesday and bringing weekly inflows to about $291.5 million.
