U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs ended a volatile week in positive territory, finishing up approximately $301 million and reversing a two-week decline. The funds shed $137.9 million on Friday, marking their second consecutive day of outflows.
Despite the week's gains, Bitcoin ETFs remain down about $314 million for October. Ethereum ETFs declined roughly $1.18 billion for the month, while Solana ETFs are down about $68 million.
Bitcoin slipped 1.1% over 24 hours to approximately $80,490 and is down 1.2% on the week. Ethereum fell 2.6% to roughly $2,344, Solana declined 2.8% to about $101, and the total cryptocurrency market cap slipped 1.2% to $2.79 trillion.
Cumulative net inflows into Bitcoin ETFs since their January 2024 launch stand at $57.6 billion, with $100.2 billion in total net assets. Ethereum ETFs have attracted $12.7 billion in net inflows since July 2024.
Traders on prediction markets have grown more bearish on Bitcoin's October finish. They now assign a 43% probability to Bitcoin dropping to $77,500 before month's end, up from 32% a day earlier, and an 18% chance of falling to $75,000. The odds of Bitcoin topping $87,500 have fallen to 10% from 17%.
The weekly decline followed broader market weakness, with oil climbing above $111 a barrel and technology stocks sliding midweek. Bitcoin has settled into what analysts described as a "wait-and-see" mode following earlier optimism from institutional projections.
