US spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds returned to net inflows on the first trading day of October, following their strongest quarter of 2026, according to data from SoSoValue.
Bitcoin ETFs attracted $102.7 million in net inflows on Thursday. This positive start followed $148.7 million in net outflows recorded on Wednesday. With these latest figures, the combined net assets of US spot Bitcoin ETFs rose to $109.3 billion, while cumulative net inflows reached $57.6 billion.
The strong start to the month follows a robust third quarter that saw $6.34 billion in net inflows, which included $2.65 billion in September alone. During the third quarter, Bitcoin's price rose by 42.71%.
At the time of publication, Bitcoin was trading at approximately $85,900, marking a 2.1% increase over a 24-hour period according to CoinGecko data. Meanwhile, Alternative.me’s Crypto Fear & Greed Index dipped slightly to 72, down from 74 the previous day, while remaining in the "Greed" zone.
Other crypto investment products experienced mixed flows during the same session. US spot Ether ETFs registered $55.4 million in net outflows on Thursday, continuing an outflow trend that reached about $118 million over three consecutive trading sessions. Solana ETFs also saw approximately $6 million in net outflows, extending an outflow streak to two sessions, whereas XRP ETFs brought in $4 million in net inflows.
