U.S. bitcoin ETFs closed Friday with $137.94 million in net outflows, capping a volatile week marked by sharp reversals. Bitcoin ETF net assets stood at $104.43 billion, while trading value fell to $1.33 billion.
Bitcoin ETFs Swing From Inflows to Selling
Blackrock's IBIT led outflows with $110.34 million, followed by Fidelity's FBTC at $31.78 million. Morgan Stanley's MSBT provided the only inflow at $4.19 million.
The week demonstrated rapid shifts in institutional positioning. Bitcoin ETFs attracted more than $1 billion across Monday through Wednesday before reversing course, with $635.49 million withdrawn Thursday and another $137.94 million Friday. Blackrock and Fidelity dominated both sides of the trading activity.
Lower trading turnover on Friday suggests the most aggressive de-risking phase may have passed, though institutional appetite for bitcoin remains fragile.
Ether Finds Stabilization
Ether ETFs managed a modest $4.35 million net inflow on Friday. Fidelity's FETH attracted $3.58 million, while Morgan Stanley's MSSE added $773,440. No ether fund recorded an outflow.
Ether ETF net assets closed at $14.64 billion with $392.93 million in trading activity. The clean positive session marks stabilization after weeks of persistent redemptions, though the inflow size remains modest relative to recent withdrawals.
Zcash and Other Assets Attract Capital
Zcash ETFs continued attracting demand, with Grayscale's ZCSH pulling in $20.52 million for a third consecutive day of inflows. Zcash ETF net assets climbed to $706.72 million.
NEAR ETFs also remained positive, with Bitwise's NRR adding $992,690. XRP, Solana, and HYPE ETFs recorded no net flows.
Franklin Templeton registered two new Nasdaq-listed ETFs with a structure allocating 95% to U.S. equities and 5% to bitcoin, with dividends from the equity portion directed into bitcoin exposure and quarterly rebalancing designed to manage the allocation. The structure signals bitcoin's deeper integration into traditional portfolio construction.
