U.S. spot bitcoin exchange-traded funds recorded $526.6 million in net inflows on Monday, marking the largest daily net inflow in nearly a month. The gains were driven entirely by BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT).
According to SoSoValue data, IBIT pulled in $665.2 million during the session, representing its biggest daily inflow since October 7 of last year. Across the broader group of bitcoin funds, the sector last saw a larger daily addition on September 22, when total net inflows reached $714.7 million.
Buying activity during Monday's session was heavily concentrated. Fidelity’s FBTC experienced outflows of $83.6 million, and Grayscale’s GBTC shed $54.9 million. The remaining bitcoin funds recorded no net flows for the day.
The Monday inflows more than erased the $228.5 million in withdrawals recorded by the funds over the previous week. However, CoinDesk calculations using SoSoValue figures indicate that the bitcoin funds remain approximately $90.5 million in the red for the month of October.
Meanwhile, spot ether funds moved in the opposite direction, dropping $103.3 million in what marked their fourth consecutive session of outflows. SoSoValue data shows that BlackRock’s ETHA accounted for $95.4 million of those ether withdrawals.
