U.S. crypto exchange-traded funds ended the week with roughly $263 million in combined net outflows, as heavy bitcoin redemptions offset continued institutional demand for ether, XRP, and solana funds.

Bitcoin ETFs Reverse Three-Week Inflow Streak

Bitcoin ETFs lost $462.73 million last week, ending a three-week inflow streak. After nearly $1 billion flowed into bitcoin ETFs the previous week, redemptions occurred in every trading session from September 8 through September 11, with bitcoin's price settling around $77,000.

Outflows accelerated throughout the week: Tuesday saw $46.65 million in exits, followed by $120.24 million on Wednesday and $282.56 million on Thursday before slowing to $13.29 million on Friday.

Ark & 21Shares' ARKB suffered the largest loss at $234.2 million. Grayscale's GBTC shed $129.1 million, while Blackrock's IBIT and Fidelity's FBTC lost $52.5 million and $50.7 million, respectively. Morgan Stanley's MSBT was the exception, gaining $19.7 million in inflows.

Bitcoin ETF trading volume fell roughly 28% week over week to $8.76 billion.

Ether Attracts $197 Million as Institutional Demand Holds

Ether ETFs attracted $197.11 million, extending a streak of positive weeks to four consecutive weeks. Trading activity showed a sharp divergence from bitcoin, with ether ETF turnover jumping about 54% to $5.14 billion.

Friday provided the most significant inflow, with ether ETFs pulling in $216.41 million in a single session—more than the net inflow for the entire week.

XRP and Solana Maintain Positive Flows

XRP ETFs attracted $18.98 million during the week, including $12.29 million on Wednesday. Solana ETFs finished positive with $10.30 million in weekly inflows, driven largely by a $11.73 million addition on Wednesday.

Together, ether, XRP, and solana drew approximately $226 million, demonstrating that institutional capital remained active even as bitcoin absorbed the largest share of redemptions.

Federal Reserve and Senate Vote Ahead

The Federal Reserve is scheduled to meet September 15-16, with interest-rate futures indicating a strong possibility of a quarter-point increase. The decision is due Wednesday.

The Senate is also scheduled to hold a procedural vote Tuesday on a revised CLARITY Act covering digital-asset market structure and new ethics provisions, with the bill requiring 60 votes to advance.
