U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs, Ethereum ETFs, and Solana ETFs have all posted losses through the first seven trading days of October, reversing gains from September as investor sentiment shifted.
Bitcoin ETFs experienced their worst day since June on Wednesday, with a $484.9 million exit. The funds recorded a modest $21.1 million inflow on Friday, but remain down a net $386.3 million for the month after stronger opening days brought $292.6 million in inflows on October 1 and 2. A $118.8 million inflow on October 6 was insufficient to offset subsequent selling pressure.
The monthly decline marks a sharp reversal from September, when Bitcoin ETFs benefited from a nine-session inflow streak worth roughly $3 billion following a failed Senate cloture vote on the Clarity Act.
Ethereum ETFs have experienced steeper declines. The funds shed $56.1 million on Friday, extending an outflow streak to nine consecutive trading days. October losses total $635 million, with nearly $700 million in outflows across the full streak. The heaviest single-day exit, $201.9 million, occurred on October 6. Ethereum ETF cumulative net inflows since launch stand at $13.2 billion, with total net assets of $14.5 billion.
Solana ETFs are also negative for October with a loss of $24.8 million following five straight days of outflows. The funds recorded only one inflow this month, $1.3 million on October 2. Cumulative net inflows since launch total $137.9 million.
Bitcoin ETFs hold cumulative net inflows of $57.6 billion since launch and currently manage $100.6 billion in total net assets.
