US-listed cryptocurrency ETFs experienced sharply divergent investor flows during the week ended October 9, with major coin funds recording substantial withdrawals while XRP products bucked the trend.
Major Outflows Across Leading Crypto ETFs
Bitcoin ETFs recorded $681.1 million in net withdrawals, Ethereum products shed $542.07 million, and Solana funds lost $24.81 million. Combined, the three categories recorded approximately $1.25 billion in net redemptions. XRP ETFs added $11.31 million, offering modest counterweight to the broader selloff.
The exodus reversed three weeks of Bitcoin ETF inflows and ended Solana's 14-week positive streak. Ethereum recorded its largest weekly outflow since January.
Bitcoin's Momentum Slows
Bitcoin's weekly outflow followed $241.09 million of inflows the previous week, representing a $922.19 million swing in investor demand. Redemptions were concentrated in two sessions, with investors withdrawing $487.07 million on Wednesday and $244.13 million on Thursday. A $21.13 million inflow on Friday provided limited relief.
Bitcoin ETF net assets fell to $105.84 billion from $108.89 billion the prior week. Rolling 30-day inflows remained at roughly 30,000 to 40,000 BTC, though analysts noted demand was slowing.
Ethereum's Persistent Decline
Ethereum ETFs experienced more consistent selling pressure. The $542.07 million outflow nearly quadrupled the previous week's $138.02 million redemption, with withdrawals recorded across all five trading sessions. Tuesday and Wednesday accounted for roughly 67% of weekly outflows.
Unlike Bitcoin funds, which posted a modest Friday gain, Ethereum products recorded no positive sessions. Net assets declined to $15.71 billion from $17.46 billion, a decrease that exceeded withdrawals alone and reflected price changes in ETH.
Solana's Streak Ends, XRP Continues
Solana ETFs recorded $24.81 million in redemptions during their first negative week since June, with all five trading sessions registering withdrawals. Cumulative net inflows slipped to $1.58 billion despite the setback.
XRP ETFs provided the sole bright spot, attracting $11.31 million and extending their inflow streak to 13 consecutive weeks. Inflows came primarily on Tuesday and Thursday, with the other three sessions recording no net flows. Despite fresh subscriptions, XRP ETF net assets declined to $1.57 billion from $1.66 billion, reflecting price movement in XRP.
XRP's weekly inflows offset less than 1% of the combined outflows from Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana ETFs.
