A recurring weekly pattern in Bitcoin trading has resurfaced, with technical signals suggesting potential pullbacks across major cryptocurrencies at the start of the trading week.
Market analyst Ali Charts highlighted the "Sunday pump, Monday dump" phenomenon on October 4, noting that over the past month, Bitcoin's Sunday price movements have consistently reversed when markets reopen on Monday. The analyst observed that Sunday rallies were typically followed by pullbacks, while Sunday declines were followed by rebounds.
Bitcoin climbed more than 1% on Sunday when the pattern was highlighted, bringing the weekly reversal trend back into focus.
Technical Signals Align Across Three Assets
The TD Sequential indicator, a technical analysis tool, has flashed sell signals on the four-hour charts of Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana simultaneously.
For Bitcoin, each of the last four similar signals preceded price corrections, according to the analysis. Ethereum's last two TD Sequential sell signals were followed by declines of 5.40% and 3.31%. Solana's last three comparable signals preceded corrections of 2.44%, 5.76%, and 5.30%.
Dual Factors Point to Possible Pullback
The convergence of the weekly reversal pattern and technical sell signals across multiple assets suggests a potential pullback when markets reopen. Both the calendar-based pattern and the chart indicators point to the same outcome, according to the analysis.
