Bitcoin holds above $80K as MARA transfers and ETF outflows test buyers

Bitcoin has reclaimed the $80,000 level and is trading above its 100-week Exponential Moving Average (EMA), a structure that signals a potential shift away from short-term bearish control as long as the price holds above that line, according to AMBCrypto.

The broader market was also green, with gains of about 2.38% on the day and total crypto capitalization approaching $2.70 trillion.

Chart structure points to a premium zone

On the charts, Bitcoin is trading above a bull flag that had been in place since late September 2025. The EMA is also trading above the 0.50 Fibonacci retracement level, which the report describes as confirmation that BTC is entering the premium zone.

Buyers have yet to show real dominance over bears, however, with the MACD only faintly green.

According to the report, a breakdown to around $60,000 may be viable if bulls cannot keep the price above the EMA. The $60,000 level aligns with the 0.618 Fibonacci retracement, a zone where most assets tend to bounce. Conversely, if bulls sustain strength, BTC could equal its all-time high of $126,000, though $90,000 remains a significant supply zone.

Miner transfers and ETF outflows test buyer strength

On-chain data presents conflicting signals. Bitcoin miner MARA Holdings appears to be selling its holdings again, having moved 1,650 BTC worth over $132 million to Galaxy Digital, Copper, and other platforms. Galaxy Digital received around 698 BTC valued at $56 million, while other platforms shared the remainder from Coinbase custody.

At the same time, U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs continued to see capital outflows over the week. In the past 24 hours, investors sold over $115 million in ETFs, taking weekly outflows to $990.98 million — less than $10 million away from hitting $1 billion.

The report said this institutional outflow puts bulls under a critical test of whether they can withstand the selling pressure. Holding the recovery above $80,000 depends on buyers continuing to long the token while institutional selling stays in check and does not outweigh buyers' volume.

Whether the new structure holds will therefore depend on the behavior of market participants, including retailers, large investors, and institutions.
