Bitcoin Holds Near $83,000 as Zcash Leads Altcoin Gains

The cryptocurrency market is attempting to stabilize after recent volatility, with buying interest remaining capped. Bitcoin has reclaimed levels above $82,800, showing strength that is reflected in some altcoins. While Ethereum remains stuck at $2,440, Pyth Network, LayerZero, and Zcash lead the gains. Meanwhile, the market saw significant outflows, while institutions continued to bet on Bitcoin, and liquidations on both sides were within average ranges.

As investors assess global market conditions and upcoming Federal Reserve policies, the key question is whether the current recovery can sustain its momentum or face renewed selling pressure.

Bitcoin Price Today: BTC Holds Key Support at $81,000

The Bitcoin price is trading around $82,704, rising moderately, showing consolidation above the pivotal support range between $80,500 and $81,500. After a rally toward $86,000 to $87,000, the BTC price has pulled back as selling pressure emerged at the higher range.

Currently, the support zone around $81,500 is crucial for the Bitcoin price rally. If buyers defend this range, the crypto could attempt to reclaim $84,000, with $86,000 to $87,000 emerging as the next resistance area. However, a decisive daily close below $80,500 could expose Bitcoin to further downside toward $76,250 and $75,180.

Ethereum, XRP & Solana Join the Recovery

Ethereum, XRP, and Solana have shown recovery over the past several months. The ETH price is trading around $2,448.81, up 1.76%, while XRP gained 2.65%, reaching $1.33. The SOL price traded near $106.09, advancing 1.11% in the past 24 hours. These gains suggest that the positive price action is not limited to Bitcoin.

Solana maintained a stronger overall performance despite pulling back from its October highs, while Ethereum also retreated from its recent peak. XRP, meanwhile, gave back much of its earlier recovery and is hovering close to the zero-performance line. This divergence suggests that the recovery has not been uniform across major altcoins.

Crypto Top Gainers & Losers Today

The crypto market is showing mixed performance across altcoins, with several smaller-cap tokens outperforming the broader market while some face selling pressure. Pyth Network (PYTH) leads the top gainers with an over 11% jump, followed by LayerZero (ZRO) and Zcash (ZEC), which surged over 9% each, and Worldcoin (WLD) and Pepe by more than 8%. On the downside, Morpho (MORPHO) plunged over 7.61%, followed by Monero and Arbitrum, which dropped by more than 4% each.

The divergence between gainers and losers indicates that capital is moving unevenly across the market. While several altcoins are attracting buyers, losses in cryptos like Arbitrum and Morpho suggest that selling pressure remains in parts of the market. However, the next market move will depend on broader sentiment, liquidity, and developments affecting individual projects.

What Comes Next for the Crypto Market?

Bitcoin’s ability to sustain its position around $83,000 will remain an important near-term indicator. The crypto market today shows signs of recovery, but the next phase of recovery will depend on Bitcoin’s ability to break above key resistance levels. A sustained move above $84,000 could support further gains across major altcoins, including Ethereum and Solana. Besides, a drop below the $80,500 to $81,500 support zone could increase selling pressure across the market.
