HIVE Digital Technologies generated more than $1 million in combined average daily revenue from August 21 through September 10, according to preliminary management estimates released on September 10.
Bitcoin mining supplied more than 90% of the reported revenue during the period, while the company's GPU-cloud business contributed approximately $100,000 daily, accounting for less than 10% of total revenue.
HIVE mined an average of about 12 bitcoin per day during the measurement period, representing roughly 2% of global network production. The company noted that revenue figures are preliminary and unaudited estimates tied to prevailing bitcoin prices, network difficulty, and operating conditions.
The GPU-cloud business, focused on artificial intelligence infrastructure, has begun generating operating revenue. HIVE reported it had closed more than $600 million in GPU-cloud total contract value year to date, combining signed customer agreements and letters of intent. The company cautioned that total contract value does not represent recognized revenue and does not guarantee future revenue.
HIVE stated that GPU-cloud operations contributed less than 5% of the company's global daily revenue in August. The company is evaluating whether to repurpose certain facilities currently used for mining into high-performance computing infrastructure for AI services, though it cautioned that the wind-down and repurposing may not proceed as planned.
The operating figures illustrate the company's transition strategy, with AI cloud becoming revenue-producing while bitcoin mining remains the primary financial driver. HIVE's near-term challenge involves converting its pipeline of signed agreements and infrastructure investments into recognized GPU-cloud revenue while maintaining mining operations that currently fund the shift.
