Bitcoin recently experienced a significant upward move, climbing by 25% and approaching the $80,000 level as market momentum gathered pace. Following this breakout past several resistance levels, analyst Doctor Profit suggests that the bear market may have concluded, transitioning into what is described as a "Soft Bull Market."
According to the analysis, the $71,000 level functions as robust support, while $78,500 represents a key resistance point before a potential move toward $82,000. The analyst noted that a decisive break above $82,000 could lead to a full bull market escalation, while pointing out that significant capital re-entered the market during the recent rally rather than waiting for lower price targets.
Market observers also addressed concerns regarding overbought conditions, noting that weekly and monthly Relative Strength Index (RSI) metrics remain in neutral territory. Much of the recent upward pressure stemmed from short positions being forced to close, which contributed to the rapid price appreciation.
Analyst Ali Martinez similarly highlighted the significance of the weekly surge, comparing the setup to historical instances in 2019 and January 2023 when sharp weekly gains materialized despite prevailing bearish sentiment. These recent developments occurred as many market participants were anticipating alternative cyclical bottoms.
