Bitcoin rebounded 1.3% to nearly $82,500 on Friday morning after briefly falling below $80,000, as buyers capitalized on the dip within hours of the decline. The cryptocurrency pulled back to approximately $79,800 on Thursday before recovering, with support holding above $81,000 through Asian trading sessions.
Among major cryptocurrencies, ZEC led gains with an 8% jump to about $1,190. SOL, ether, XRP, and TRX each gained roughly 1%, while BNB remained flat according to CoinDesk data.
Asian equity markets also bounced back from Thursday's losses. The MSCI Asia Pacific index climbed 1.3%, with roughly three shares advancing for every one that declined. South Korea's Kospi index jumped nearly 3% after recording its worst close since April on Thursday. Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix both gained more than 2%.
Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing was an exception, slipping despite an upbeat outlook as concerns over artificial intelligence spending persisted.
In fixed income markets, Treasury yields rose across the curve following Thursday's safety-driven selloff. The 10-year yield climbed one basis point to 5.07%.
Market participants are monitoring whether Bitcoin can sustain momentum above $84,000, the level where a post-inflation rally stalled on Wednesday. Attention is also focused on remarks from Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh, scheduled to speak at IMF and World Bank meetings in Bangkok on Friday, following hotter-than-expected September inflation data reported earlier in the week.
