The price recovery followed a liquidity sweep beneath Friday's low, according to van de Poppe's analysis. Failure to hold above the $79,800 threshold could trigger a potential retest below $75,000. BTC and Ether withdrawals resumed on November 1, though the investigation remained open.
ETF Flows and Corporate Holdings
U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $643.2 million in outflows on October 30, ending four consecutive sessions of inflows. BlackRock's IBIT accounted for $233.7 million of the outflows, while Fidelity's FBTC lost $201 million.
Strategy, the corporate treasury vehicle, held 848,517 BTC valued near $66 billion with an average acquisition cost of $75,446 per coin. Michael Saylor signaled that Strategy had capacity for additional purchases, but the company's October 26 filing confirmed no new Bitcoin acquisitions during the preceding week. Strategy did spend $204.9 million repurchasing preferred shares.
Broader Price Resistance Zones
Glassnode identified $80,000–$81,500 as a cost-basis area for ETFs and corporate treasuries, with selling and liquidation clusters flagged at $85,000–$87,500. Bitcoin remained below these bands as traders focused on immediate resistance levels.
